Dr. Busceni's 10-year career at Kendall College follows his years of faculty and Chair of Colleges of Education at other institutions of higher learning, as well as teacher and principal in K-12. Throughout his tenure in higher education, Dr. Busceni has been a consistent leader in mobilizing and inspiring communities in collaborative education improvement initiatives, program development, building-based morale initiatives, professional development workshops on teaching pedagogy and instructional strategies, and educational leadership and curricular improvement. As a school administrator (K-12) in public and private schools, he established chapters of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), implemented middle school Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS), oversaw district professional development initiatives, and negotiated collective bargaining agreements. He is a prominent and dynamic national speaker and has presented on a range of topics from Effective Leadership in Today's Schools, Curriculum and Assessment Strategies, Dissertation Writing, to Engagement of Online Faculty and Students. He is a member of Kappa Delta Pi (International Honor Society in Education), Association for the Supervision of Curriculum Development (ASCD), National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Dr. Busceni graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1991 with a B.S. in Economics, and attended Roosevelt University for graduate school receiving an M.A. in 1996 and a doctorate in 2000 in Educational Leadership and Organizational Change.
