Marion Ben-Jacob

Mercy College
Dr. Marion Ben-Jacob has a Ph.D. in theoretical mathematics, in operator theory, from Belfer Graduate School of Yeshiva University and is ABD in computer science from Syracuse University She is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Mercy College for over 36 years. She teaches mathematics, computer science, and critical inquiry, both in the traditional classroom and online. She has recently written papers and spoken extensively on the topics of mathematics, assessment, computer science, computer ethics, pedagogy, online teaching/distance education, collaborative learning, and global learning at numerous conferences. Dr. Ben-Jacob serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Educational Technology Systems. She is the editor and a contributing author of Integrating Computer Ethics across the Curriculum and a recently published e-book, Computer Ethics: Integrating across the Curriculum. She has been the PI and co-PI of several NSF grants.
