George G. Klemic, D.B.A., is a professor of Business Administration and Department Chair in the College of Business at Lewis University, in the Chicago suburbs. He has been at Lewis for eleven years, prior to that, serving as Associate Professor, Department Chair, and Dean of the School of Business and Management at Notre Dame de Namur University, in Belmont, California. George has served on assessment committees, in both universities, at the department, college, and institutional level. Part of that service included developing and delivering “boot camp-”like training on SLO assessment, coaching and mentoring new assessment recruits, and leading assessment projects. He has presented on SLO assessment at the IUPUI Assessment Institute, at AALHE, at meetings of WASC and the North Central Higher Learning Commission, and at a conference of the Association for Institutional Research. Current SLO interests involve concurrent and coordinated use of SLO assessment and assessment of co-curricular activities to improve SLOs.
