Monica Stitt-Bergh is an educational psychologist and works in the Assessment Office at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. In her current position, she is an internal consultant for and offers workshops on learning outcomes assessment. She also plans and conducts institutional learning assessment projects. Since 2008, she has worked to create a positive view of assessment and increase use of assessment findings. Previously, she assisted the campus's writing-across-the-curriculum program and the implementation of a new general education program. Monica is a former President of the Hawai‘i-Pacific Evaluation Association and current Past-President of the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education. She has taught first-year writing and social science research methods courses. Her publications and conference presentations have focused on program-level learning outcomes assessment in higher education, writing program evaluation, self-assessment, and writing-across-the-curriculum. She has developed and facilitated over 100 workshops, including workshops on assessment fundamentals, general education program assessment, data analytics and visualization, assignment design, and use of assessment findings for learning improvement.
