Kimberly Green

Washington State University
Director of the Office of Assessment of Teaching and Learning
Pullman, Washington
Kimberly Green has directed the Office of Assessment of Teaching and Learning at Washington State University since 2011, supporting colleges, programs, and campuses to assess student learning and use results that can guide faculty decisions about effective curricula and instruction. Since 2015, Kimberly and her team have overseen general education assessment initiatives and data analysis, including university-wide assessment of capstone courses, as well as planning and producing reports for WSU's colleges and departments of disaggregated results from the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). The assessment office provides support and training to faculty who plan, conduct and use assessment, and facilitates conversations with faculty and leadership to interpret and use results. Kimberly also works with university leadership to develop policies and practices that support faculty engagement in assessment. She served as the university's accreditation liaison officer from 2012-2015 and led reporting efforts in 2013 and 2018 to successfully resolve accreditor recommendations on assessment of student learning and faculty engagement in assessment.
