Constance R. Tucker, MA, PhD, is the Vice Provost for Educational Improvement and Innovation at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Tucker provides leadership and supports the instructional and professional development of health professions faculty, staff, and students in pre-clinical, clinical, and graduate education. She is charged with supporting and strengthen institutional faculty development initiatives, the Teaching and Learning Center and quality institutional assessment of student learning. Since her arrival at OHSU in 2017, Dr. Tucker advocates for an institutional assessment process that assures achievement of student learning outcomes, recognizes best practices, drives innovative practices, and promotes educational scholarship. She has a strong background in faculty development, with more than 15 years of experience in health professions education. Her research interests explore motivation, reflective practice, educational persistence, assessment of student learning, and cognition of health professions students.
